Location
Ca' P'a is situated in Praiano, a little village between Amalfi and Positano, on one of the most beautiful coasts in the world – the Amalfi Coast. The dramatic nature of the coastline demands that guests descend 120 stone stairs to get to the property. Once you have arrived at Ca' P'a you will experience what Casa Privata stands for – cultivated privacy – a place where you will be left alone but still feel well-cared for while enjoying the most mesmerizing views of the Amalfi Coast, either from your room or from the garden.
HOW TO ARRIVE
Most international visitors fly into Naples Capodichino airport. For the classic Amalfi Coast experience, get in touch with us to arrange a private transfer for you so you can sit back and enjoy the scenic hour-and-a-half drive that meanders along hairpin curves known as "the road of 1,000 bends".
By Private Transfer
Upon request a private car will come to meet you and take you to Praiano in approx. 1 and half hours.
By Train
The closest train station is Napoli Centrale. From there we recommend for us to arrange a private transfer for you.
By Car
Take the highway A3 Napoli-Pompei-Salerno and exit at Castellammare di Stabia, then follow the signs for Positano. The next town after Positano is Praiano. Please kindly call us once you have passed Positano so we can arrange for the Porters to come and meet you at street level.
Please note that renting a car often sounds more romantic than it really is. The roads here are only ever wide enough for two lanes of traffic, with little room for manoevre, so traffic jams are unavoidable and this makes it quite tricky for first time visitors and a rather stressful experience. Parking on the coast is also very limited with high parking costs of up to EUR 6/hr in some places. Once on the coast the best way to travel is by water taxi or relying on local services.
AROUND THE COAST
Think of the Amalfi Coast and visions come to mind of verdant hillsides brimming with pastel-color buildings reflected in the coruscating Tyrrhenian Sea. Praiano's central location makes it an ideal base from which to explore the rest of the coast and Capri. The coast is best explored by sea, foot or local transport.
